Chief People Officer

Tracey Power

The Vaco culture drives our strategy; our shared values direct how each Vaconian serves our clients and our community.

Tracey Power isn’t your typical human resources professional. In fact, she describes herself as a businessperson first and foremost, and an HR person second. Her priority is growing, protecting, and tending the vital resources that ensure our company’s measured success.

Spoiler alert: it’s people.

As our Chief People Officer, Tracey spends her days focused on the hearts, minds, souls, and goals of Planet Vaco. She brings people, culture, and business strategy together to create a pretty amazing place to work, populated by genuine, hand-picked humans who are committed to doing the right things for our clients. Our signature over-the-top client service experience begins with Tracey’s commitment to doing the right thing for our employees and consultants, so they can do the right thing for our customers.

Prior to joining the Vaco executive team, Tracey served as Manager of Training and Internal Communications for Affinion Group, Assistant Vice President of Professional Development for J.C. Bradford & Co, and Executive Vice President of Human Resources for Comdata Corporation/Stored Value Solutions. She’s been a proud Vaconian since 2015 and is currently an adjunct faculty member of Lipscomb University College of Business teaching Talent Management Strategy.

Tracey holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and an M.Ed. from Vanderbilt University, as well as a certificate in life-juggling earned while simultaneously getting her master’s degree, working full time, and raising a family. She is a certified Executive Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation, Rule 31 Mediator, Global (GPHR) and Senior Human Resource Professional (SPHR) by the HR Certification Institute and Senior Certified Professional (SCP) with the Society of Human Resource Management. Tracey volunteers for various community organizations, including Impact100 Nashville and the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign in Nashville.

Tracey lives in Franklin with her husband and daughter. When it comes to developing strong teams that can accomplish amazing things, her family is her favorite one.
