Vaco Named a 2022 Best Place to Work in Virginia for the 12th Consecutive Year
RICHMOND, Va. – May 10, 2022 – Vaco, a global talent solutions firm, has been named as one of the 2022 Best Places to Work in Virginia. This is Vaco’s 12th consecutive year to be named to this notable list, as surveyed annually by Best Companies Group for Virginia Business Magazine.
This Best Places to Work in Virginia survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Virginia, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce and businesses. The list is comprised of 100 companies in small, midsize and large employer categories. Virginia is a key growth market for Vaco, which has experienced rapid expansion, serving more than 610 clients and placing more than 3,060 candidates since 2004.
“I’m humbled to be a part of this prestigious list and congratulate our team on placing among Virginia’s top employers for the 12th year running,” said Amy Miller, managing partner of Vaco’s Richmond and Virginia Beach offices. “At Vaco, we encourage our employees to bring their unique personality, passions and style to their work. We strive to create an environment that empowers individuals to achieve their professional goals, continuously learn and grow, deliver exceptional client service and maintain a healthy work-life balance.”
Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in Virginia. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics, and was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience, which was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Virginia and also analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final ranking.
“Our employees are the foundation of our business and the key to our success, and we are committed to creating an environment that allows everyone to reach their highest potential, both personally and professionally,” said Mary Lynne Staib, managing director of Vaco’s Richmond technology practice. “I’m proud to work for an organization that truly values its people, and this award illustrates that.”
To be considered for participation, companies had to be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity, be a publicly or privately held business, have a facility in the state of Virginia, have at least 15 employees in Virginia, and be in business a minimum of one year.
