About Donna

Donna leads the Vaco direct hire search practice in the San Antonio market. She’s a Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) trained in federal employment laws affecting the staffing industry. She has expertise in the human capital management field as a seasoned consultant, recruiter, strategist, resource manager, trainer, and coach with executive management experience in highly competitive corporate environments.

Donna’s foundational business acumen was developed when working for a major regional retailer during its peak expansion years. She led teams to success in a $97 million product category business across three states and also managed high profile retail operations in a $65 million location with consistent sale sales and profit increases.

Donna has deep involvement in employment challenges as diverse as integrating acquisitions, starting new businesses, and revitalizing existing operations, as well as weathering a major corporate downsizing. In the consulting arena, Donna assisted diverse professionals in career transition to identify and market their transferrable strengths and skills. She coached individuals to facilitate enhanced career direction and development as well as to navigate the challenges of workplace life. She has extensive experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training employees at all levels.

Donna earned a BS in Psychology from Texas A&M University. She is a Certified Career Management Practitioner (CMP) through the Institute of Career Certification International and a Certified Coach Facilitator by Corporate Coach U.  She is also a long time Board Member at San Antonio Youth Literacy.
